This coaster was the first major coaster to let us experience the now ubiquitous loop. That makes it a good thrill.
Huge nostalgia points for me. I rode it in its 2nd year when it wasn't botched and running at full tilt. It was the biggest and baddest coaster on the West coast. I remember seeing it in the movie Rollercoaster and I wanted to ride it so bad. When I finally did, it was disappointing only because I was comparing it to the Turn of the Century at MGA in the Bay Area where I was from. It just didn't have the intense airtime of its Nor Cal competitor. But over the years, I now appreciate it so much more and it really has grown into a true coaster classic at SFMM. For me, it is always a "must ride". I love the juxtaposition against the intense "Tatsu" that now towers above it!
